I couldn't possibly list them all so please comment on your favorites and I will share some of mine.
Reading is in a beautiful Renaissance. Many of us remember our formative years curled up in a chair, lying in bed, sitting in the back of your parents car while engulfed in fictional worlds only the author and your imagination can paint. For the first 13 years of my life my TV had one channel and it was black and white. As I got older I discovered that one's imagination was not limited to the tales of fantasy but could be found in the prose of everyday life and business.
Because of e-readers the industry is booming. Content is available so efficiently and inexpensively that it is almost impossible to resist. There is also one factor that is a total game changer, Crowd Sourced Reviews.
The dawn of the digital age means that you can pinpoint your interests against a world of like minded peers. You no longer should purchase a "bad book".
Often I get asked what some of my favorite business books are. There are too many to list, but like a well trained sommelier teaches wine by virtue of what your palette prefers I will share a few that me and my colleagues in advertising enjoy. Note I excluded advertising and sales only books. This list is the art of business.
I hope this list will be added to your bookshelf or kindle if it is not already there.
In no particular order...
This one is a no-brainer, especially if
you are starting out in the business world and want referenced anecdotes. Basically summarizes everything you know and a lot you don't know into a concise package. You need to read it.

Anything Seth writes is like magic on a page. His insights are genuinely thought out. One of my favorite quotes is "'If your new business plan disrupts an industry or pisses a lot of people off, there's a good chance you're on to something good. You should worry more when nobody's talking.' Permission Marketing is worth a read for up and coming sales "bulls". Apply relationship and friendship to your daily interaction and your Rolodex will grow infinitely.

If you are new to investing I highly recommend you purchase the version with Jason Zweig commentary. No book will make you money, but some will outline a structure for you to have the best shot. That's what The Intelligent Investor does.

Guy is a modern day social star. His insights into business and life are inspiring and timeless. The Art of The Start is important. Another review of this book sums it up perfectly. "A successful entrepreneur requires three things: a garage, an idea, and this book—Guy’s irrepressible guide to the raw essentials of life in a young company." - Michael Moritz, Sequoia Capital

Many will argue with this choice calling it irrelevant, but you should find out for yourself.

This was my first business book, when I was a kid my mom taught the course. It's timeless.

Did you ever wonder if you work with a sociopath, maybe you are a sociopath. This book will give you the chills and make you think about how the 1% built their empire. Do you have what it takes?

If you read Snakes in Suits and realized you are an empathetic human being rather than a short sighted shark I would highly recommend you read a book by a true childhood hero, Mr Rogers.
Appropriately, the book begins with this quote: "What is essential is invisible to the eye."
Hold back the feels while and embrace this if you are seeking wise, humane advice on how to get the most out of life.

The Folks at Google just announced their new book
"It’s your guide to business management in the Internet Century, due out on 9/23.
Follow #howgoogleworks for interesting insights and fun nuggets from
the book over the next few weeks!" - Jonathan Rosenberg

I'm preemptively assuming that it will hold a place in here judging by the caliber of authors and business pioneers attached.
